Who Is My Commissioner?
Are you new to Madison County?  Are you currently a citizen but unsure who represents your area?  Madison County is divided into five (5) districts.  One Commissioner is elected to represent each district.  A map has been included on this site showing the five voting districts.  Please click on the attachment below to view the map.  If you have any questions, please contact the Board of County Commissioners Administrative Office at 850-973-3179 or admin@madisoncountyfl.com

County Commission Meeting Times

County Commissioners act under the authority of Florida Statutes Chapter 125.01.  The Madison Board meets at the Courthouse Annex, 229 SW Pinckney St., Suite 107, on the first and third Wednesday of each month.  The first meeting of the month is held at 9:00 a.m., while the second meeting of the month is held at 4:00 p.m.

Madison has 5 districts and 1 Commissioner to represent each district. The Commissioners set the ad valorem millage rate each year and approve an annual County budget.  The Chairman of the Board is selected on a 12 month rotation basis to match the fiscal year.

Departments and services provided under the Board's administration include Building, Code Enforcement, Planning and Zoning, Emergency Management, Veterans Services, EMS, Road and Bridge, Solid Waste/Recycling, Parks and Recreation, Mosquito/Animal Control, Facilities Maintenance, Veterans Services and Cooperative Extension.  For more information on any of these areas, please click on the Departments menu at the left of this page and select the desired Department.

Minutes of meetings are posted after the Board has approved them.
Agendas are posted the Friday prior to the meeting by 4:00 p.m.
