- The current Florida Building codes, effective on work permitted after December 31, 2017, can be accessed for free at https://up.codes/codes/florida
- Florida’s current electrical code that was adopted statewide and effective on work permitted after January 31, 2017 is the 2014 National Electrical Code. It is also known as NFPA 70. This code is not a Florida owned or written code but it can be found online by searching for “2014 NEC”. It is not a free book to download or search.
- The requirement for blower door tests became effective on new home construction permitted after June 31, 2017. This was an amendment to the energy code.
